Mediation
Mediation is a form of conflict resolution that aims
for a win-win solution.
An impartial mediator supports participants to work
towards achieving a mutually beneficial resolution,
thereby avoiding the need for more formal proceedings.
The process that Staffcare uses encourages and supports
communication between parties who are in dispute. The
purpose is to help people in conflict to identify the
root of their own problems and to encourage them to
devise their own solutions. Mediation gives the parties
an opportunity to meet to and resolve the situation
in a protective setting. All mediations are confidential
-no one may discuss or use comments in subsequent litigation
- and private. Mediations also protect people by providing
a structured environment for interacting with the other
side.
The following principles apply:
- Participation is voluntary
- All parties must want to resolve the issue
- The process content remains confidential to the
parties involved, with only the agreed outcomes being
shared with the employer.
Staffcare uses a 1 ½ -day mediation model; this
includes a pre-mediation meeting with participants,
followed by the one day mediation itself.
